WD: Exercise 2

Somewhere deep in the Jungle of South America in 1936... You have discovered an abandoned temple that hides an extremely valuable forgotten artifact called THE GOLDEN IDOL... To get to the treasure, you must make it through a series of booby traps... Enter the [[First Room]] IF YOU DARE!

You come upon the first test... Before you lies a narrow stone hallway with a series of deep holes on either wall... To make it down the hall, do you... [[Run full speed]] OR [[Crawl on your hands and knees]]

OH NO! You've been IMPALED!! While running down the hall, large wooden spikes shoot out from the holes in the wall... You have DIED! To try again... Go back to the [[First Room]]

Whew! You made it past the first booby trap!! While crawling down the hallway, large wooden spikes shoot out from the holes in the wall above your head... If you had been standing, you would've been impaled! Congradulations on surviving... FOR NOW Go to the [[Fork in the Road]]

When you reach the end of the hallway, you stand and dust off your palms... There are two directions you can travel... [[Right Passageway]] OR [[Left Passageway]]

You walk down the path to the right... Along the wall you see a message... "LEAVE EMPTY HANDED AND YOU MIGHT SURVIVE" You continue along only to find the passsageway blocked off by a pile of crumbled boulders... There must have been a cave in! Return to the [[Fork in the Road]]

You walk down the path to the left... You come upon a massive pitt in the middle of the floor... There is no way to get around it... Do you... [[Use a thick vine hanging from the ceiling to swing over the gap]] OR [[Take a few steps back, run, and jump]]

Your feet lift off the ground... You are suspended in the air for a long moment before you realize... YOU AREN'T GOING TO MAKE IT... You have DIED! To try again... Go back to the [[Left Passageway]]

You grab the vine, take a step back, and swing over the pit... Just before you can jump onto the landing... The vine SNAPS and you tumble to the ground... BUT, you made it! Enter the [[Second Room]]

You squeeze through a small arched stone doorway... The space opens up into a massive room sunken into the ground! You walk down a set of steps, but pause as you reach the bottom... The stone tiles of the floor are unlevel, some protruding higher than others... Do you... [[Make your way accross by only stepping on the elevated tiles]] OR [[Step directly on the sunken-in tiles to get across]]

As soon as you put your weight on the first elevated tile... Arrows shoot out from all corners of the room... OH NO! You have DIED!! To try again... Re-enter the [[Second Room]]

You place your feet carefully among the lower tiles and make it accross the floor... You come to an elevated platform and hoist yourself up... When you stand, you are face-to-face with THE GOLDEN IDOL displayed on a marble podium... What do you do next? [[Walk around to see if there is one last booby trap]] OR [[Grab the idol off of the podium and cry out triumphantly]]

After a fleeting moment of triumph... The walls around you start to shake and crumble... (if:(history: where its name contains "Right Passageway")'s length is 1) [BUT, you recall the message you saw in the Right Passageway, "LEAVE EMPTY HANDED AND YOU MIGHT SURVIVE"... You drop THE GOLDEN IDOL and run for the exit before the walls come crumbling down... Somehow you make it out with your life, but no treasure! YOU HAVE FAILED.] (else:)[You whip around as you hear something rushing towards you from behind... The last thing you see is a MASSIVE stone boulder rolling straight for you... AND THERE IS NO ESCAPING DEATH THIS TIME!! The End.]

CONGRADULATIONS... You have successfully aquired THE GOLDEN IDOL... You will be payed handsomely for your find and go down in history for the discovery of this long lost treasure!! The End.

You notice THE GOLDEN IDOL is sitting on a round section of marble separated from the rest of the podium... You guess that this could be a presurized system! But what if you're wrong? You pick up a rock, roughly the same size as the idol, from the rubble around your feet... And you carefully [[switch out THE GOLDEN IDOL]] with the replacement!
